I love this place so much. The service is amazing and everyone is so positive. Besides the service the food is to die for. Everything on the menu is delicious and different so it is perfect for everybody. The staff was super friendly and kind. Talya and Ben were so sweet to me while serving me. The store owner Tom is very nice and considerate. There story is so heartwarming. Please come to cafe charlotte for smiles all day!
The food is always delicious in a warm, cozy, inviting, German cafe. But the real gem are the owners who are always friendly and kind, going out of their way to welcome their customers. The owners along side their staff do a wonderful job making Cafe Charlotte a place you can’t help but want to return to!
I love coming here when I want a tasty bakery treat or cafe drink! They’re always so good and I love grabbing a lunch meal as well. Such a good place to hang out and catch up with a friend :)
If you’re looking for a hidden gem with real personality, Café Charlotte is it. Affordable and tasty! Environment: The place has an amazing vibe. It’s cozy, creative, and feels like something straight out of a movie. It has that warm, community feel that makes you want to stay longer. We even met a really nice couple sitting next to us, ended up chatting, and exchanged contact info. Definitely the kind of spot that brings good people together. Service: Kylee, our barista, was super friendly and helped us figure out what to order since it was our first time. I also spoke with the owner, Tom, who’s genuinely one of the nicest and most personable owners I’ve met. You can tell he really cares about his customers and the experience. Food Quality: We ordered the Caprice and the Big Tom, both flavorful and perfectly made. Added a little turkey and it hit the spot. The bread had that perfect crunch, everything was fresh and balanced. Overall: Family-owned, welcoming, and full of character. Café Charlotte feels like a spot you’d stumble upon in a film authentic and unforgettable. Highly recommend this place.
Ordered the Banananella and a banana bread latte from their specialty menu. Both were so yummy! The staff were friendly too.
UPDATE (April 2026): Bigger breakfast/lunch menu and lots of terrific staff behind the counter. Delicious food, as always, just more to choose from now. They also have new coffee drinks, pastries, and a variety of great sides & a la carte items. The Boss Tom is a very tasty sandwich and my new favorite. The cafe is still owned & operated by the same wonderful family. I'm so thrilled to see this place continue to thrive. ORIGINAL POST: I'd give them six stars if I could. Excellent all-around! Delicious baked goods and all are made in-house by the chef owners. Our faves include: banana bread, chocolate croissant (seriously THE BEST), and banana creme pie. And their cakes are delectable. Great coffee, and my go-to is the Iced Mocha which is topped with crumbled Oreos and whipped cream...and I'm not even a coffee person, until now anyway. Quiches and baguette sandwiches are also fantastic. Dining here brings back wonderful memories of sitting at coffee shops in Europe & enjoying scrumptious baked goods/pastries and sandwiches. This is family-owned, and I'm all about supporting local businesses, especially ones owned by such a nice, hard-working, friendly, & welcoming family. My husband and I have been here for sweets and/or lunch for five days in a row now! I'm sure we'll be there again tomorrow. It's that good! We had our wedding in Charleston and were in desperate need of someone to provide our guests with an authentic German Kaffee und Kuchen experience when we came across Café Charlotte. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish! If I could give 6 or 7 stars, I would!! Communication was smooth, Tom and his family were incredibly nice and professional at the same time! Quality of the cakes and specialty coffees as well as the presentation were exceptional! The whole family supports the endeavor which creates an atmosphere that money can’t buy - providing the extra touch to our German speaking guests! I can’t thank them enough for being part of our special day!
SkinPro Studio and Better Beauty and Wellness Loves Cafe Charlotte! Today we savored the Rhubarb Crumble and the White Strawberry cake with a Chai Tea, Iced Latte and a Cappuccino. Delicious!!!
I was super excited to come visit! I saw it on my instagram fyp and needed to go! The coffee was so good and the food was even better! The breakfast menu has such a great variety and I wanna come back to try everything. The sweetest girls were working and did a great job :)
I loved that the pancakes were packed with blueberries! The price was good too. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to have a syrup bottle at each table. Syrup was available, but it was located at the condiment bar on the other side of the restaurant, which wasn't very convenient. Other than that, everything was great! The place has a very cozy, homey atmosphere and feels relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely come back!
